In the Latest News and Updates section, there was mention of a new College Scholarship fund being kicked off by Barry Green (aka nicest guy in the world).  How is that project coming?  What is the selection process for awarding the scholarship?  I know it must be a financial blessing to the families for having the tuition paid for their child to continue their education.

The isara scholarship is alive and well. We should know more next week. Sometimes it's a waiting game over here. There's an extended holiday (mid-term break) in October so a lot of officials are trying to put everything off until after the holiday. But our goal is to provide two scholarships at two different colleges.

It's been a loooooooong time but the scholarship has FINALLY been awarded. The reason for the delay was because we had to wait until the new school year to start. Which was just this week. But I'm happy to report that the scholarship winner, Tom, is at school and is on his way to receiving a degree. Thanks to Barry G. for his donation and to all of you who visit Isara.

PK, do you know what Tom will be studying or what sort of degree he is wanting to get?  Thanks for giving us the update on this one.

(Thanks, Barry!)  Kiss

He will be studying auto-mechanics. There's lots of cars and motorcycles to be repaired in Thailand.

Great News! I'm glad Tom is able to use the scholarship money for a career in something that will help lots of people. Grin

Does anyone else find it amazing that Tom could have been getting a degree in anything from History to English, to business or carpentry, yet he's going for auto mechanics...which brings to full circle one mission of Isara? To wear helmets when riding? I think that's great!  Grin Grin

Thanks Barry and Isara clickers!  Kiss

AWESOME Cheesy , Tom looks sort of shocked, but very appreciative for this scholarship. I'm so happy for him and his family. I know they feel very blessed with having the tuition paid for.

Yeah, he could've gotten his degree in many other careers, but he chose Auto Mechanics. Just Wonderful!!

PK, for now on, will you be giving the two scholarships every year and how do you go about choosing the winner? Take care. Gbya
