Hey, if anyone on here is like me and has vision problems you likely have a pair of glasses as well as some contact lenses.
Last time I went in to the Optometrist I ordered my favorite brand of contact lenses that can be worn for 30 days continuously, that is, you can sleep in them and everything for 30 days.
The price almost knocked my socks off because now that I am self-employed I and am not a minor the government or my employer dont pay my optical costs....
Anyways it cost me $300 for six pairs of lenses which is CRAZY! Huh Shocked Lips sealed
So my sister-in-law found an internet company that sells contacts at really good prices.... they must be a wholesaler or something but it has saved me a lot of money.
I dont know how PK and the other moderators will feel about this but I am going to post the address anyways because I think the markups on contacts are stupid and I hope it saves some of you some money.

www.coastalcontacts.com

for the same lenses that I paid $300 for last time at my local optometrists office, it cost me $105!!!!
That makes me sick, the optometrist is putting at least a 200% mark up on these, thats just unfair and sneaky....
Hope this saves you guys some money.  Grin

P.S. for canadian customers use the .com domain not the .ca domain because the .ca domain charges more than the .com domain... and with the $US and $CAD being so close its not worth the extra 50% they charge on the canadian domain.

Cool, I shall check it out.  I just started wearing contacts this year.  They're fun. I didn't know that contacts existed that you could sleep in and everything.  Wow...
Though, I wear my glasses to work anyways, since it seems more clear when working on a computer screen...hum.
But you're right, optometrists really rip people off!

The contacts you can sleep in and wear continuously for 30 days are called-
Focus: Night and Day
I typically wear mine for 30 days or more... my optometrist said they can be worn for 45 days but I usually don't go that long.... Generally at about 30 days they start to feel dry by the evening and that's when I know it's time to take them out.... i usually give my eyes a few days without contacts to replenish themselves and then go back to the lenses.

I dont like to wear my glasses in the winter because they fog up when you go from outdoors to indoors and the fact that they have to be cleaned all the time.... I also see better with contacts than with glasses about 10-15% better at least thats what the optometrist said when he tested me with my glasses and then my contacts.

Wow, I'd be interested to try those.  Man, cause always taking your contact in and out is a bit tiresome. Life is so much better without glasses.  Like you said, in the winter, it's great. Just walking in any kind of weather (rain!) is so much easier.
