How I Spent My Tax Rebate

I was just wondering, for those who received the tax rebate/economic stimulus whatever you want to call it...what did you do with it?  If it is still sitting around, here is a site you might find helpful when deciding what to use it for or how to spend it.  I suspect many people have needed it simply for gas in their cars.

I did get it...it went to my forwarding address, and I have a dear friend who I put on my bank account to help with anything banking-related while I am away.  She made the deposit for me.      So hopefully, mine will just  be earning penny-interest while I am away. haha!

I'm keeping mine in savings just in case I have to pay this back in taxes over the next few years. I can't see any info on how this was funded (though I didn't look too hard). If it was borrowed, then God help us. If it was printed (newly created), then all my money is worth that much less. So I really have no incentive to spend it.

That was a very good article there, ZeroG.  Basic enough for me to understand and clearly the writer is only making his best suggestion for what he would do and would also warn against doing, with of course, the 'why' answered for both.  I honestly dont know how the "rebate" was funded either.

My guess would be newly printed money.  But that is only a guess.  Now you have me curious, so I will be looking for this one.
