You ever have garage sales, or donate to Goodwill or church rummage sales to unload a bunch of stuff you dont want anymore?  Did you know there are other alternatives out there?

For the UK:
WasteWatch.org

GumTree.com (owned by Ebay, check out cities they service on the right hand side of the screen)

Swapxchange.org

For everywhere:
Freecycle.org

I wonder, if anyone on Isara would want stuff you have to get rid of.... I will have stuff to unload when I get back home later this year.  Maybe I can post some pics and see if anyone wants it.   Grin

In the building I live people basically just move stuff they don't want anymore, like sofas and stuff, to the basement place and then anyone can take them from there. Quite a chill system I'd say.

I went to freecycle, and it's a yahoo group for my area. I'll see if they will let me join.

I went to freecycle also and they have one about 15 miles from where I live.  This is a great idea.   Cheesy
The good news is you know exactly where, and to whom,  your unwanted  items are going.  Cheesy

On one radio station here there's something like this. People can like leave an "ad" of something he/she doesn't need anymore and then if you want the thingie you can contact them. I think it's nice people just don't simply throw away old stuff and instead give it to someone who wants it. Economical and ecological.

I got rid of quite a bit of stuff before my trip and I tried to make sure it went to people in need and not to people who wanted it to sell for cash.

Wow! I got 21 emails this morning of free stuff in my area that was posted just within the last 20 hours or so! I haven't had time to check them out yet, so I don't know if anything is useful to me yet, although I think I spotted a couple of roosters. Wink But then I'd have to build a hen house and hens, and other things, so that's not really free...

Now I'm going to change my email settings for that thing! Cheesy
