I happened across this old blog entry from 2005 about Corporate Responsibility and thought it was interesting enough to share.  Some of the facts referenced are old news and possibly outdated and no longer in practice, but the argument made for how we sometimes react to Big C is an interesting one and offers a perspective I had not entertained before.

Is Levi's still trying to source at least 2% of its cotton purchases organically?  Is Nike still pursuing a reduction of PVC, toxic solvents and glue use in their products to lessen the effect on the environment?  I dont know, but the argument of supporting change to accelerate further change is a good one.
