We thought about what time to start and settled on 7pm Thai time so that the first leg of the marathon would be at night (I think that's what the last guy did too). Either way my sleeping habits will be warped, but I think we can use the time differences between Thailand and the US to our advantage. If I sleep most of Friday (wake up about 4-5pm) then I should be able to get through the first night ok, as long as there's a few people tuning in on the Internet. Once it's day time on Saturday then my internal daytime clock will kick in (hopefully) and the visitors coming and going from the ILC will help keep me awake, while the Internet audience is sleeping. Then, once it's Saturday night (Saturday morning in the US) it will be time to entertain the Internet audience again so hopefully they can push me through the final 12 hours. It's funny you mention the Elvis hair. While designing it, I did searches for Elvis hair and glasses but couldn't find any that worked right. Here's the temporary playlist again. Take a look and start deciding what song you want to request. We'll start the Request Topic soon. http://www.isara.org/karaoke/playlist-v1.html

Well Of CourSE you searched for Elvis hair. Karaoke and Elvis is almost as good together as peanut butter and chocolate! Which is why I think my first $5 will be for Elvis' "Hound Dog".

I love how the playlist has the songs from the movie "Grease" arranged with that as the artist, instead of the actual artists. Who would look for John Travolta singing "Sandy" anyway? I think we should be able to raise $50 on Beatles songs alone! That's a long list!

Don't worry, there will be plenty of Thai songs in the mix. It's just going to take a while to get them ready since they're mainly on VCDs. Can't seem to find any Thai MP3s with CDG files of the lyrics attached. Why, do you have some requests for Thai songs? Maybe some Thaitanium?

Today we faxed a signed Guinness World Record Agreement to their headquarters in England. Thanks, Ming, for helping us with the fax. Here's the latest poster. Decided to go with the blueman even though the microphone was more professional looking. We're trying to get our name/brand out there as much as possible so having it front and center can't hurt. Plus, it looks more fun than a sterile microphone. What do you think?

Hey everyone....I have been looking thru some karaoke blogger sites...one guy who sings regularly went out with a group of friends and was astonished to be able to sing NINE songs in one night. And he said his throat was pretty sore after that. I think we're going to need to get into vocal shape here. I think I need to get some footage of his training sessions.....keep him motivated. We can play it back and go over where he went wrong, like coaches do before football games....study the skill sets. *edit--I have posted a new blog which includes a sneak peek at an interview....

MIng - We got confirmation that they received the signed agreement ok. Thanks! thartley - NINE songs? Ha!!! When we would go sing karaoke we'd each sing at least 10 songs. Lately I've been practicing each day and can sing at least 30 songs in a row without any problems. Maybe it's because I'm singing them all out of tune. lol Of course 30 songs is a loooooooong way from 800 songs. But you gotta start some where.
