I had karaoke dreams everytime I shut my eyes lastnight.   Grin   I imagine Ming will sleep quite a long while.  It goes without saying that PK needs to rest, even if he doesnt feel like it.  Staying awake and pushing your limits for so long takes a toll on the body, even in young people. LOL!  I simply cannot imagine how his throat feels or his legs and hips.  In old farts like myself, the elasticity was worn out a long time ago.  I am physically sore from head to toe, and I wasnt the one doing it! ha!

PK, enjoy that last Little Debbie!   Grin Grin Grin  It started looking as tired as you there at the end.  haha!

Thank you to everyone, Gina, Luis, Penguin, Stasven, Mus, KITKAT (for staying up later than EVER before!), ZeroG and Clan Gillock, everyone in the chats with us from all the world, the people of Nong Khai who stopped in throughout the event to say thank you and donate, to all of our witnesses who gave generously and without complaint of their time (those on the graveyard shift with me get special props, those are looooong hours here).....way too many people to mention.

But my most special thanks go to Ming.  She was absolutely the backbone and strength of this whole entire thing.  Besides PK himself, she got the least amount of sleep and did the most work, and you would never know it to have seen her in action.  She greeted visitors, made runs for food, kept the water warm, the honey flowing, confirmed the witnesses before each shift change, and every single time PK would hit that wall where he was ready to pass out, she put herself in front of him so he no longer saw the wall, but reminded him of how strong he was and kept him going.  Ming is the heart and soul of Isara, for sure.

Thanks!

WE DID IT!!!!  43 hours and 23 minutes.

Thank you to everyone for their unwavering support, even while I butchered some of their favorite songs. Hopefully my renditions of those songs will not haunt you for too long.

Once the webcast started the donations started rolling in. DVXuser members (there's too many to mention) were a huge portion of those donations so I want to say a very special Thank you to all of them who helped. Not only did they help financially but some of them stayed up all night just to keep cheering me on.

I honestly could not have beat the record without the support of Ming and Terri. They kicked me around and kept my spirits high the whole time. There was a point when I was ready to quit (around hour 30) but they kept saying, "Just a few more hours until sunrise and then it will be smooth sailing." And they were right.  So THANK YOU Ming and Terri for everything you've done.

And thank you Ginafish for keeping the chatroom in order. That place was crazy but you did a great job keeping everyone playing nice and keeping them informed of what the event was about. The chatroom made everything MUCH more fun (you all are hilarious) and Gina kept it light, fun, and booted the trouble makers. Thank you!!!!

Classes will begin in 10 minutes so I need to go downstairs and prepare a quick lesson. Thanks again for everyone's support.

Someone here (another thread?) mentioned having Pkaraoke withdrawls....I dont know what is worse, withdrawals or hearing songs randomly around you and thinking "PK sang that song".  At some point lastnight/today/the night before (they're all running together for me still) the movie Stick It was on tv and two different songs came on in the movie and I was thinking how PK sang them.  One of the songs was Goody Two Shoes.  The other might have been Abracadabra...not sure.

This same thing has been happening to me.   Cheesy

I'd love to know the total number of songs he sang, even count the ones he sang several times. (need for news paper article)
I'd also love to see the dollar donation amount posted in  THAI BAHT!!!    That would really be impressive!!

Thanks again everyone for your love and support for PK.  He couldn't have done it without YOU!!   The entire Gillock Family loves you all! Kiss

PK, MIng and Terri, get some  rest.   Cheesy

Grin  I haven't had this much fun in years!   A WORLD KARAOKE PARTY,  for charity and PK surpassed his goal with donations pouring in during the event.  It doesn't get any better than that!! Grin Grin

A huge thank you to Ginafish for handling the chatroom. You did an amazing 30 hr. job handling a few party crashers, LOL. and for keeping the fun spirit going in the room and prompting new comers to check out Isara's website.     I want to thank each one individually, but there are so many.    Now everyone get some rest!  Cheesy

During the event, 'Little Debbies"  received worldwide attention.  I think "Little Debbies"  should send PK a years supply of FREE Brownies. Grin

They should also send me at least a months supply for promoting them so heavily during the event. What with my pictures of Debbie herself, etc...Smiley

Ming is a very special person, there is no exaggeration there when Thartley says Ming was the backbone of the event....
She always used to keep PKs spirits up when I was volunteering there and used to do a deep cleaning of the ILC when the rest of us were too lazy to do it..
Thanks a lot Ming for all you do for Isara Wink Cheesy

Indeed, it was a truly strokin' performance. I'd like to thank the following persons for making this event possible:

PK
Ming
Terri
KitKat
GWiz
John Ham
Brad Hunstable
Bill Gates
Tim Berners-Lee
Claude Shannon
Benjamin Franklin
Sir Hugh Beaver
Christopher Chataway
Norris McWhirter
Ross McWhirter
Arthur Guinness
St. James
Their parents
And theirs
etc.

There's more but I realised this isn't as funny as I thought it would be so that's enough.

Oh right, Chuck Norris. Even when you can't see it, he indirectly or directly helps everything to exist. Black holes are just areas in the universe where Chuck Norris isn't present.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll just activate the roundhouse kick shield. You weren't on the list since you didn't really contribute to the event in any way, unlike eg. Benjamin Franklin who invented electricity and made computers possible.
