Mission Statement
Isara's mission is to positively impact communities in the areas of education, safety, environmental awareness, and to promote personal effectiveness through global web-based interaction and local volunteerism.
Description
Isara is a non-profit organization that provides free resources and scholarships for education, campaigns and tools for personal safety, opportunities for improving environmental conditions and for fostering increased personal effectiveness through interactive projects with web-based users and local volunteers. There is no middleman brokering funding or projects. Isara creates its own projects together with local communities and web-based users of Isara.org, with 100% of its revenues being utilized to that purpose. |
Who We Are
Web surfers, like yourself, are the people who really make a difference with Isara.org, but there are a group of volunteers who have helped convert your clicks into charity. Below is a list of the people who help make Isara's charity projects a reality.

Patrick Kirk Gillock ( PK)
Founder, Webmaster, and Volunteer
Born and raised in Texas but spent time in Seattle, working as a graphic/web designer. In 2002 I left my cubicle and began a new life as a volunteer. In 2005 I started Isara as a way to provide help directly to those in need. Now I'm living at the Isara Learning Center where I update Isara.org, help teach classes, and try to avoid the webcams.
Goals: To change the world.
Hobbies: Watching movies, making movies, and having delusions of grandeur. |

Thailand Coordinator and Isara Volunteer
I am Thai and have lived in Nong Khai, Thailand my whole life. I have a degree in languages (English and Japanese) and have been involved with Isara since the very beginning. I enjoy helping with projects, showing new volunteers my beautiful country, and teaching foreigners about Thai culture.
Goals: To provide for my family and continue developing and learning.
Hobbies: Eating new foods, playing computer games, and photography. |
Favorite Websites: coming soon

Isara Volunteer and Website Moderator
I was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, USA. I have worked more than twenty years in medical office management and corporate accounting and, after an organizational restructure and overseas outsourcing at my place of employment, I decided to travel to Thailand to volunteer with Isara in 2008.
Goals: Earn a comfortable living by fulfilling my dreams instead of someone else's. Positively impact the people near me.
Hobbies: Humanitarian work, writing, filmmaking, theatre, photography, and cooking. |

Website Moderator and Webcam Advisor
Born in the 20th Century, living an insanely average life with husband of ten years plus some, and our son and daughter in the country smack dab in the center of Arkansas. I was invited to join Isara by it's webmaster to add glamour to the forum. I forged a friendship with Isara's webmaster through his previous website laundryday.com.
Goals: My goals in life are to spread love, exhibit tolerance and give hope.
Hobbies: Weekend getaways, photography, and cleaning up after my family. |
 |
Website Moderator and Technical Advisor
I was born in 1961 and live in Houston Texas with my wife and 6 kids. I work as a software engineer for an oilfield services company. I spend a lot of my spare time playing poker and running a database website I created which tracks results of online poker tournaments called StarTracker. Discovered Isara through PK, who's my little brother.
Goals: I want to be the person my kids see me as and the husband my wife deserves and needs.
Hobbies: Philosophy and digital photography. I also play around on my Fender Strat every once in awhile. |
