I wish that would happen here. Grin

Rear Window is one of my all-time favorites. The Birds is brilliant. Psycho is probably still my favorite, though.

Yes, GinaFish, but third parties don't win in America. At least not right now. Smiley

It would be very nice if they could. I'm an independent and it would be nice for a third party candidate to have a legitimate shot at getting elected. As it is, I'm stuck in the "lesser of two evils" category.

The Daily Show ran a great video on McCain last night:

The terrorists hate that we are allies with Israel. Freedom has little or nothing to do with it. They want to restore a Palestinian state and Israel occupies the land where it once stood.

Nick, the only reason that you still believe in trickle down economics is that you still live with your parents. Trust me, man. When I was your age, I was a right-wing fanatic, too. I didn't understand how much my parents shielded me from the horrors of the Reagan/Bush years until I actually had to fend for myself.

That's when I saw how much better life was during the Clinton years and watched it all crumble after Bush II took office.

You don't have enough life experience to see the trends and how they can really change the economy.

I'm not saying this to rip on you, man. I just know how I was at your age and I know that you'll eventually grow out of this if you're as smart as I think you are.

I laughed a lot at Palin's speech last night. I see I'm not the only one who spotted the... ahem... non truths:

The one with Chuck Norris was better.

Chuck Norris would've been a much better choice.
9  The Fun Stuff / Random Fun Stuff / Re: Crazy Kid names on: 08/15/2008 11:20 PM
I know of a kid who is named Optimus Prime ____ (last name omitted). His parents should be stripped of their parental rights.
10  The Fun Stuff / Random Fun Stuff / Re: Turkish Ice Cream--Beware! on: 08/ 7/2008 03:32 PM
That's awesome!
11  The Fun Stuff / Random Fun Stuff / Re: Talent Database on: 07/27/2008 08:40 AM
Guys, what channel should be my primary channel? Film or writing? I don't know. I want to market myself as a writer/actor...

If you want to write and act for film, I'd probably go with film.
12  The Fun Stuff / Random Fun Stuff / Re: Talent Database on: 07/23/2008 02:10 PM
That's pretty cool. Thanks for posting that!
13  The Fun Stuff / Random Fun Stuff / Re: Resurrect the 80s on: 07/21/2008 08:01 AM
Yeah, a friend of mine had an '80s-themed wedding reception. I'll never forgive him for it. Grin
14  The Fun Stuff / Random Fun Stuff / Re: Resurrect the 80s on: 07/20/2008 10:57 AM
Hey, what's wrong with the '80s?

Oh, you mean stuff like this?

"Okay, camera hog. Down in front!"

Next: How much was Jon Heder paid to play "Napoleon Dynamite"?

Wasn't it like a grand, or something ridiculously low?
17  The Fun Stuff / Random Fun Stuff / Re: Pictures: something unique / common in your neighbourhood on: 07/10/2008 09:15 PM
that tractor catches my eye every day, I just had to finally stop and snap some shots of it.

It's a good thing you did. It's happened to me too many times where I think something looks cool and always meant to shoot a few shots of it... and then it's gone. Get 'em while you can or you'll kick yourself for it.
18  The Fun Stuff / Random Fun Stuff / Re: Pictures: something unique / common in your neighbourhood on: 07/10/2008 09:13 PM
Gosh, I can't get away from DVXUser and filmmaking can I?

Nope. It's an illness... but a good one.
19  The Fun Stuff / Random Fun Stuff / Re: For real men on: 07/ 8/2008 10:18 AM

Horse, You have some really beautiful sunsets there in Minnesota. And you capture them very well.

Thanks, sir. I live deep in the Minnesota River valley, so I don't always see the good sunsets without driving to catch them, but I snap a few pics when I see them develop. I just wish I had this lens when I shot my other sunset shots. It's way sharper.

Oh, and I'm a huge nerd... not that you didn't already know. Grin

Here's an older one (by request):

Yea, but it could use a little more red in the mid-tones. But that's what Photoshop is for. Fixing nature's mistakes. lol Grin

j/k
Exactly! Unfortunately, I'm not a PS guru, so this is straight out of the camera. Wink
25  The Fun Stuff / Random Fun Stuff / Re: Pictures: something unique / common in your neighbourhood on: 07/ 7/2008 08:30 PM
Thanks, guys!

PK- I used a Pentax K110D with a Pentax 50mm f/2 lens.
