Isara Foundation started a helmet campaign in 2005 as a way to educate Thais about the benefits and importance of wearing a helmet while on a motorcycle. Since then Isara has donated more than 3,000 helmets and has been nationally recognized for their helmet campaign by the media and government.
Note: At Isara's Learning Center in Nong Khai, Thailand every student must wear a helmet if they arrive by motorcycle. If they do not have a helmet one is provided to them. Parents are also encouraged to wear helmets. We enforce our "school rule" every day and the results have been very positive. Now more than 95% of our students wear helmets to our school. Typically, only 8% of students at other schools wear helmets. So we're very proud that our students made the decision to protect them selves.
