Thank you Ming for the photos.  I'm proud of Veera!  I'm also very happy his family has a better life now.   I know Veera is very proud of his covered tuk-tuk for his family and it looks awesome.  ;D

Yesterday we invited Gik & Guk to go with a few of us to a waterfall and help pick up some trash. It was a good opportunity to use our new van too! Gik & Guk had never been to this waterfall before so they were really happy. They even enjoyed picking up the trash. Also, when we got back, we noticed that Gik & Guk's Dad had cleaned up around the ILC and organized our storage room. Thanks, Veera!!

Oh my gosh!  Those are some great photos of the girls!  Such genuine smiles...with TEETH showing, even!  You can really tell how far along they have come, making the most of thier opportunities.

Thank you Verra, for all you do!

(Do they realize they are part of our global family here?)  :D

I just wondered how many more years before Guk and Gik can be Isara interns?  :)  I know they are doing well in their studies.  They are very smart young ladies!  If anyone gets a chance, snap a few pics so we can keep up with them.  They grow like weeds at this age and I miss their scowls when they'd see me with the camera.  :D

Gik & Guk were here just a moment ago with their father, Veerat. Today's a holiday so they didn't have to go to school.

We invited them to our English Camp this weekend. We'll get some pictures of them during that time. :)

They won't be able to intern for another 6-7 years. But we can wait.

Great news! This weekend Gik & Guk's family are moving into a new home! While our volunteer Wes was here he said he wanted to help a Thai family so, of course, we immediately thought of Veerak and his children. After brain storming with Veerak for a while we decided that finding them a new home might be the best way to help his family at this point. The place where they have been living is basically just one small room and it's causing their three little girls to be sick a lot (when one gets sick they all get sick). We thought that if they had a bigger place it might allow them to spread their wings a little so that they can grow. Much like Isara did once we started renting the ILC.   Veerak said that he didn't want his children to have to help him collect trash to sell so we thought that if he had a home on a main road then he and his wife could use their new home as a work space too. They could open a restaurant or any other kind of business. After searching for just two hours Veerak found the perfect place. It's close to their school and it's also on a main road. It has PLENTY of space for everyone (four bedrooms!!) and there's even a balcony on the second floor.       Today Wes helped them put down the deposit and the first two month's rent ($230 total). That's right, less than $250 is all it took to make a huge difference in the lives of this family of five. Thank you, Wes.   I have never seen Veerak and his family this happy. ;D ;D

I just dont have the words right now for how happy I am not just for the smiles and new beginning for this wonderful family, but for Wes' generous nature and heart.

    Beautiful.

Does Veera realize how big his family really is, in a global sense?  :D

Awesome work Wes. You have opened doors for that family, quite literally. They, and Isara will remember you always. Of course so will Isara :)

This is really spectacular, awesome job Wes.

I remember the first day Gik and Guk came to Isara, I don't think either smiled that entire day, they were very shy and nervous.  Seeing them and their family now over a year later smiling and doing well is very special.

How is the restaurant opening coming along?  Can someone go there and buy a meal and do a review to post here (with pictures)?   ;D

Oh wow! This is really awesome. That's so great that they'll have a nice big home to call their own. I hope there's some room to park his tuk-tuk!
