    Hey PK,

I think now would be a great time for an update on how the site is doing traffic wise, daily monthly?  How many new members etc.. ;D

It also serves as a friendly eye on the prize reminder to spread the word about Isara.. The more people that use Isara the more positive things things Isara can do :) and the therefore the more people that can truly benefit from it.

    Thanks!

Thanks PK, The updates are a nice benchmark for Isara's growth and a great reminder to let others know about Isara if you like the idea.  The holidays are fast approaching and people always seem to be more receptive to charitable causes.  Whats easier than changing your homepage (which for many is just g**gle anyways).  Personally I am making these little business cards with the logo and URL on it.  I find that people are very receptive and excited when hearing about it, but then later forget to go.  With the cards they will usually check it out once and hopefully many more times after they make it their homepage.

Ha, I honestly spent like ten minutes deciding, originally i just attached it to the "double in october" thread but I figured it deserved its own special spot for updates.

Thanks for making cards to hand out to people, Sean. That does help a lot.

Edit: I updated the stats above to include the final days for November.

I'm happy to announce that December is off to a really good start. We just had our best Saturday and Sunday yet.

Actually, Sunday was the highest traffic we've seen all year. Typically weekends are low traffic times for websites so hopefully we'll see even better numbers for the coming weekdays.

    ;D

Hopefully those numbers will be coming up soon.  My last day of work was on Friday and I  introduced Isara to my friend Beth (new member b.russ).  She was excited about Isara and told me that her goal today was to put Isara up as the homepage on all the computers at Moosejaw.com.  Hopefully she succeeded!

Please give her a warm welcome if she makes it into the forums ;D

    Hey Sean,

Many people over here have Isara as their home page now.  All of the Service staff have it for sure.  Thanks for doing good things, the world will show it's appreciation.

    Take care,

And don't worry, there can't be 1K service emails to write forever...can there?

We do post on other forums but, unfortunately, most of the posts/topics are deleted because they consider it SPAM. :( :(

We don't want to get a bad reputation on the Internet as spammers so we now contact forum moderators first before posting about Isara.

The unique visitors are still up from December so maybe this means the majority of new visitors like what they see and are sticking around! SwEEt! ;D

This month Isara had increases in Unique Visitors, Visits, and Page Views. ;D As you know, any month we have increases in web traffic is a GREAT month. So if you visited Isara in March then your efforts are represented below. Thanks EVERYONE!!! Isara.org Web Stats: Month        Unique Visitors  Visits    Page Views August              7,585        27,249   155,413 September        7,703          25,645      135,862 October            9,720          30,965      168,823 November        9,669          29,239      139,063 December      10,586       31,551      197,086 January            9,711        32,494      234,413 February        12,167        37,375      230,276 March          12,283       38,587      241,478 We're going to start showing IsaraPIX web stats since it has been getting a lot more attention lately. IsaraPIX Web Stats: Month        Unique Visitors  Visits    Page Views October            3,516          5,534      15,323 November        4,453          7,320      17,608 December        5,572         8,707      26,516 January            6,407        10,368      29,346 February        12,707        18,045      56,547 March          16,267       23,431      87,660 The reason IsaraPIX gets more Unique Visitors than Isara.org is because users place IsaraPIX images in their forum posts and that brings in a lot more referrals and new visitors. BUT the extra traffic IsaraPIX receives helps Isara.org, not only with generating funds for our projects, but also because IsaraPIX is the #1 referrer to Isara.org. Which brings in new visitors to our main site. Thank you to everyone who uses IsaraPIX for image hosting. pk

I just noticed the isarapix had 31,000 more page views than the month before! Even February was a huge increase of 28,000!! And the unique views since October has increased umpteen* percent!

*umpteen-a phrase usually reserved for when you don't know the number. Usually in the teen's like 13, 15, 19, etc... But I'm sure this increase is much bigger. ;D

UPDATE: On Monday Isara received its highest web traffic EVER. ;D We usually average 1,200 visits per day, but Monday had more than 2,400. While trying to figure out where all the extra traffic came from we noticed something very surprising. IsaraPIX, which usually averages just 800 visits per day, had more than 12,000 visits on Monday. WOW!!! Fortunately that temporary increase in web traffic to IsaraPIX helped bring in some new visitors to Isara's main site as well. IsaraPIX has also already received more than 26,000 unique visitors for the first-half of the month. Of course any good news about IsaraPIX is also good news for Isara since both sites work together to raise funds for our charity projects. Thanks to everyone who uses IsaraPIX. ;D

:-\  I have stuff to use in IsaraPix, at some point.  I've got some pics in my cameras that need to get out and on the site.  But I am not a new visitor.  ;D

I guess people were visiting the homepage but not looking around the rest of the site. (Maybe we need to promote other sections of the site more.)
I have begun to put links to different sections of the site in my blog, and also adding links to my e-mails that I send out with my blog update notifications.  Dunno if its helping yet though.  I apparently have a very quiet circle of friends back home.  I dont know if they are visiting the site so much as reading my blog.

Just a quick update to let everyone know that our website stats are looking strong right now. We've had three good months in a row and last month was one of our best months ever.

We're still not able to sustain ourselves from website traffic alone, but we're certain that it can be done.

Please do whatever you can to get others to switch their homepage to Isara. That's all it takes!
