If your PC is slow or doesn't have much memory, you should use the Console version for the PC.
Nothing at all to look at, but it does the same work, faster.

I wouldn't worry about the numbers. These guys have a ton of computers all over the
world folding. They know what they are doing.

What do you mean? There's plenty to look at All the text, all the numbers...

Yea, numbers and text are fun to look at. ;D

Do you see an animated graphic of a molecule in your Folding software or just numbers and text?

I have both versions, I installed the console version to see what it's like and because ZeroG said so.

The problem seems to be that it doesn't display when it's done with a frame. The first WU only got to 11/2000 frames when it suddenly was done. The next one got to 20/5000 when it was done. I know they were done because it said so in my stats. So basically the problem is that the counters don't work. It's not that important but it's confusing.

There's definitely something wrong if it's not completing the Work Units. There's a forum over at the Folding@home website that might have some answers but it looks like their forum is having problems right now too.

I have read that uninstalling and reinstalling will usually help fix this. May not, but it's worth a try.

Team Isara has been cruising the last few days. We've been averaging over 5,000 points per day and had 9,000+ points in the last 24 hours. Wow! We should reach 1 million points sometime next weekend.

GO TEAM ISARA!!! Keep on folding!!! ;D

And each of those is what really matters! Lets face it, there are some heavy players on the Team Isara front. Clearing dozens a week (ZeroG) or atleast on or two every couple of days, but we wouldn't be this big on the polls if it wasn't for you guys out there banging out that 1 WU whenever you get the time. Seriously. Every one knocking out that one that never seems to end (you know who you are) are the guys and gals getting us there. The big numbers are just about maintaining. So, if you think you want to quit because it takes forever, and it does sometimes, or if you haven't started because you can't put in the time - ARE YOU CRAZY??? Get out there and play ball!

Anyone have any idea how I can remove MyUsername_______s from the team? It's bothering me and since I don't use it it does no good there besides looks stupid, which isn't good.

Unfortunately names can't be removed from the list. :( But you're not alone. There's a few other usernames that were mistakes too; RichLee2, RichLee3, ZeroG-eMachine, and ZeroG-HP were all mistakes and abandoned a long time ago.

Mus. - I'm not sure what's happening with your score. It says you've completed 7 Work Units, so you should have more than 21 points. Typically a Work Unit will be worth 186 points or more (but sometimes as little as 132). Our PCs here are working on a few Work Units that are worth 512 points each. It takes about 5-6 days to complete them.

Yeah, I know. I asked about it in the forums they got there. It's not very rewarding to get 3 points for one WU 8)

Okay, so (GinaFish prepare yourself) I recently purchased an OSX laptop and a X-server from Apple. So, I guess, we'll see what an X-server can bring to the folding table, after it's setup. Supposedly I'm getting it this week. I dunno, the guys at Apple corporate said they had to build it for me. Anyway, we'll see what the power of Apple can bring! (stop drooling now Gina)

I'm just so glad that window's finally screwed up enough *cough*Vista*cough* that you people are finally seeing the light. ;) Although I can't say anything negative about any machine that attempts to fold, b/c they are all being put to good use then. :)

Ah but look what came of you. You sure are making a bigger difference with your work than Shirley B. in her grey cubicle on floor 12 at TechCorp
